FSMB is seeking an Examination Specialist II, Assessment Services, who will provide support for the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE), the Special Purpose Examination (SPEX) and examination transcripts. General duties include USMLE registration and related tasks; SPEX registration and related tasks; and processing examination transcript requests. This individual will also be a first point of contact for physicians seeking information about USMLE, SPEX, transcripts and medical licensure in the United States. This individual will also provide support for certain data elements utilized by all FSMB departments. What will you do? United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Process USMLE applications, including verifying eligibility, managing registration queues and communicating with applicants regarding issues. Verify and update applicants’ information in the FSMB database, including biographic information, medical degree status and Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification status. Process cancellation and score recheck requests. Review outcomes from the USMLE Committee for Individualized Review (CIR), ensure information is accurately captured in the FSMB database and report to other departments. Special Purpose Examination (SPEX) Process SPEX applications, including verifying eligibility and communicating with state medical board staff regarding approval of designated applications. Process cancellation and score recheck requests. Transcripts Process transcript requests, including communicating with applicants and recipients regarding issues. Customer Service Respond to escalated phone and email inquiries regarding USMLE, SPEX, transcripts and medical licensure. Record inquiries and responses in FSMB customer relationship management system. Handle and process payment issues, manual invoices and refunds for USMLE, SPEX and transcripts. FSMB Maintain USMLE and SPEX records in shared databases with partner organizations. Assign identification numbers, as needed, to physicians for all FSMB departments. What can you bring to the role? Education/Training: Prefer 2-year college degree. Minimum 2 years general office experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to easily and quickly adapt to changes in daily work responsibilities. What do we offer?
