JOB OVERVIEW

The Exams Officer plays a crucial role in the administration and management of examinations within the educational institution. This position is responsible for ensuring that all examination processes run smoothly and efficiently, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and a keen attention to detail, as well as a background in teaching to enhance their understanding of the academic environment.
Job will be part work from home and part in person.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in an educational setting is desirable, particularly in roles related to exam administration or teaching.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with students, staff, and external bodies.
  • Familiarity with examination regulations and procedures is an advantage.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to remain calm under pressure during busy periods. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about education and student success while contributing significantly to the integrity of the examination process.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the entire examination process, including scheduling, logistics, and administration of exams.
  • Coordinate with teaching staff to ensure that all necessary materials and resources are available for examinations.
  • Maintain accurate records of student registrations, examination entries, and results.
  • Liaise with external examination boards to ensure compliance with their requirements and standards.
  • Manage the invigilation process, including training and supervising invigilators during examinations.
  • Address any issues or concerns that arise during the examination period promptly and effectively.
  • Communicate important information regarding exams to students, parents, and staff in a clear and timely manner.
