Job Title: Mail ClerkJob Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mail Clerk to join our team. This role involves managing mail and package handling operations at our Morrisville, NC location. As a Mail Clerk, you will ensure the efficient processing and distribution of incoming and outgoing deliveries while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence. Responsibilities Process, handle, and maintain records for all incoming and outgoing courier and mail deliveries to ensure proper routing and labeling. Provide solutions for special requirements such as bulk mail and other unique needs. Maintain all mail stops and package rooms as appropriate. Research and follow-up with clients regarding tracking mail and/or packages. Perform mailroom inspections and inventory supplies. Support site operations and participate in the individual performance management program and personal development planning. Actively support an environment of teamwork, cooperation, and performance excellence. Proactively develop and maintain client relationships to provide exceptional service and achieve expected service levels. Comply with all requirements of client contracts and meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators. Identify opportunities for improved operational standards and recommend enhancements to the assistant/facility manager. Essential Skills At least one year of experience in corporate mailroom operations or related skills. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and perform tasks safely and effectively. Knowledge of current postal codes, procedures, and regulations. Proficiency with various information technology tools and platforms. Strong attention to detail for handling sensitive mail and ensuring proper routing. Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Self-motivated, confident, energetic, and flexible. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience with FedEx or Amazon is a plus. Work Environment The position is based in Morrisville, NC, where Mail Clerks will primarily be located at one site on campus. Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 7am to 4pm, with flexibility for an 8-hour shift. Free parking is available onsite. The work environment encourages initiative, self-sufficiency, and investigative qualities. Employees are responsible for maintaining copiers onsite, including adding paper and fixing toners. Interviews will be conducted virtually, with a possible second round. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Morrisville, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
