Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a full time Exchange/Messaging Administrator for a 6-month contract-to-hire position. This position is required to be onsite 3x per week in Herndon, VA.
U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to client specific government/federal requirements. Must have US Passport.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Responsible for administering large deployments of Exchange environments and messaging systems
  • Work directly with the Client’s team on daily and weekly tasks as needed and requested by Client
  • Configure, support and administration of Exchange 2019
  • Perform on-site technical support for Microsoft Exchange 2019
  • Monitor Exchange message queues, resolve non-deliveries, and perform message tracking and record status/findings in daily operations log
  • Perform mailbox moves and restores
  • Perform mailbox cleansing (classified)
  • Deploy highly available, scalable and secure cloud infrastructure with a focus on Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services ("AWS")
  • Implement infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques to migrate workloads into Microsoft Azure and AWS
  • Develop automation to support continuous delivery and continuous integration process
  • Possess basic understanding of Microsoft Azure and AWS technologies (both Infrastructure as a Service ("IaaS") and Platform as a Service ("PaaS")) and options to support the migration process
  • Work closely with the Development team to build and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery or Deployment ("CI/CD") pipelines to support automated deployment of infrastructure
  • Analyze and resolve configuration issues in development, test, and production environments
  • Install and configure Windows server operating systems and software on VMware and physical servers
  • Responsible for on-premises datacenter maintenance, patching servers, backups and tape rotations, maintain documentation, server inventory and datacenter and server supplies and parts
  • Be a team player and coordinate with the larger systems and Infrastructure team on projects and initiatives
  • Generate hardware and software reports from System Center Configuration Manager ("SCCM") to determine deficiencies
  • Be part of on-call support and available 24/7 to help troubleshoot issues that could arise in a datacenter environment
  • May be required to perform other duties as instructed by team leads and/or managers
  • Coordinate with vendors for technical support and upgrades
  • Acting as a product or application owner in a DevOps culture
