This Position reports to:
Operations Manager - BL Excitation(AMEA)
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of Excitation systems, products, and services within the United Arab Emirates, in alignment with the regional and divisional strategy. Reporting to the ME Excitation Sales Manager, you will play a key role in achieving both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction.
Each day, you will demonstrate leadership by planning and implementing the Excitation strategy across the allocated region. You will proactively drive high sales performance and lead the Excitation Sales organization to exceed targets, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and engagement. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities to strengthen our market presence and support long-term business success.
The work model for the role is: #onsite #onsite-Li (20% in office and 80% with customer meet and travelling with in UAE)
Main stakeholders are local and regional Excitation team, customers/end-users, and internal support functions (such as project management, finance, and service operations).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • You are highly skilled in solution and service sales methodologies and the power generation utilities market
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in marketing and sales, particularly in the power generation sector and Excitation (EXS) products, services and solutions
  • Have established skills working as a sales professional with Excitation systems and related technologies
  • Possess an enhanced knowledge of Excitation business operations and associated solution offerings
  • You are passionate about building strong customer relationships and effective cross-functional collaboration
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or equivalent experience
  • You are at ease communicating in English
  • You are innovative around identifying sales opportunities and strategic business development
  • You enjoy working with sales enablement tools and Excitation-specific business data analysis
  • You hold a valid passport and are willing to travel across the allocated regional countries as needed
Responsibilities
  • Communicating with customers regarding delivery timelines, payment terms, and general conditions in alignment with ABB’s offerings and strategic objectives
  • Ensuring effective marketing activities by leveraging ABB’s Excitation install base (IB) to communicate a strong value proposition and enhance market penetration
  • Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities through structured Excitation install base analysis, uncovering “White Spot” areas, and supporting local units in prioritizing key sites to meet business growth targets
  • Managing and maintaining the ABB Excitation Install Base database, ensuring continuous alignment, cleanup, and updates to support accurate business insights and strategic planning
  • Supporting local units throughout the sales process, including technical solutioning, market pricing, and tracking KPIs, while serving as the central point of contact for clarifications and strategic guidance
  • Monitoring and reporting on the overall sales pipeline with a focus on identifying and capturing out-of-scope business opportunities across the AIMEAA region
  • Participating proactively in rollout meetings, internal coordination calls, regional/local sales calls, and webinars to stay aligned with new initiatives, processes, and reporting methodologies
  • Driving sales performance through special initiatives and campaigns, organizing internal meetings, and providing continuous support to boost effectiveness and ensure successful execution
  • Championing ABB’s values of safety and integrity by implementing and reinforcing group initiatives to build a strong culture of health, safety, and ethical business practices across all daily service operations
