Pay Range: $83.98 - $125.13 per hour

Summary:
The Executive Director of RUSH’s Epic Community Connect team leads and manages the planning, implementation, and support of our Epic-based Community Connect program for Rush University System for Health. Serving as the key point person between internal IT, clinical, strategy, and finance teams, as well as vendor partners, this executive ensures strategic alignment, operational excellence, and integrated clinical workflow across multi-organizational platforms and the scalable deployment of Epic capabilities across community affiliates. This role’s management and professional duties include leadership of the department, ensuring consistency with organizational philosophy and goals, compliance with applicable business, operational and clinical practices, and the provision of safe and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the strategic direction of Epic Community Connect, including the development and execution of scalable implementation plans and long-term sustainability practices.
  • Develop standardized toolkits and frameworks in close partnership with Rush Health and IT teams to ensure consistent deployment, integration, and ongoing optimization across community affiliates.
  • Design and maintain annual review of program pricing, subsidy approach and marketing materials.
  • Oversee the successful implementation of several strategic projects; define cross-application coordination, implementation timelines, dependencies & tracking tools.
  • Define budget requirements, operational infrastructure and staffing needs to accommodate concurrent implementation & support.
  • Establish external partner engagement, feedback systems & relationship management.
  • Lead teams through design, sale, deployment, training, and support of clinical content and revenue cycle tools for affiliated private practices.
  • Leverage change management to develop and deploy IT-wide standards and scalable, repeatable processes to sell and support an electronic health record in a competitive market.
  • Manage ongoing support of Community Connect practices including technical, functional, billing, contract

Other information:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.
  • Eight (8) years required, 10 years preferred leadership experience and progressive responsibility in Epic.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a leadership role on a major project or change management efforts specific to Epic.
  • Prior experience working within a clinically integrated network, with the understanding of the impact on successful partnership between internal and third-party partners.
  • Experienced working with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team, and interacting with all levels of the organization.
  • Detail oriented, strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with technical and clinical audiences.

Preferred Job Qualifications
o Master’s degree in related field preferred (MHA, MPH, MBA)
o Project Management Professional certification preferred.
