SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Substantial recent experience of providing high-level executive or administrative support to a Chief Officer or Senior Manager within a large organisation.
  • Proven ability to manage complex diaries and inboxes, ensuring time is used efficiently and effectively.
  • Experience attending and accurately recording minutes and action points in high-level meetings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Able to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands in a busy environment.
  • Desirable: Experience working in a Housing or Customer Services setting.
  • Desirable: Competency in using Google Workspace tools including Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets and Slides.
Responsibilities

WHAT’S INVOLVED WITH THIS ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Executive Support Assistant to provide confidential, reliable and proactive administrative support to two Directors within the Climate, Homes and Economy directorate. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide comprehensive diary and inbox management for two Directors, ensuring smooth coordination of their schedules.
  • Attend high-level meetings to take accurate notes and record actionable points, following up as required.
  • Act as a key point of contact, managing internal and external correspondence with professionalism and discretion.
  • Liaise confidently and effectively with senior stakeholders across the Council and partner organisations.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Executive Support Team, providing cover and support during absences.
  • Help manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately, always maintaining the highest standards of data protection and discretion.
