Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations and Executive Assistant to join the UK Energy Research Centre. The post holder will be able to develop their skills by supporting the effective and efficient running of the Centre within a higher education environment.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

You will be responsible for providing operations and executive support in the UK Energy Research Centre.
In the role you will provide efficient administrative support for a range of strategic, operational and communications activities, to ensure the efficient coordination of the day-to-day business and longer-term planning of the Centre. Whilst the workload will be varied, specific tasks include event logistics, financial management, the servicing of committees and providing executive assistance to the UKERC Director, coordinating administrative processes and acting as a point of contact for enquiries.
You will be comfortable managing a varied workload, working at pace and managing changing priorities with a range of timeframes. The role requires close working and liaison with a wide pool of internal and external stakeholders.

You will have proven experience of providing administrative support to teams and/or senior staff, and experience of managing and completing multiple tasks alongside each other. Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • providing varied and responsive administrative and project management support,
  • servicing meetings and committees,
  • assistant support and administrative service to the UKERC Director
