Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role contributes to the success of the City by providing administrative services and the coordination of Civic events in the Office of the Lord Mayor.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Coordinate Lord Mayor’s complex schedule, including arranging meetings, briefings, site visits, accepting invitations, and scheduling Council engagements.
  • Prepare simple correspondence, agendas, meeting notes, PowerPoint presentations, and other documents.
  • Follow protocols when they represent the Lord Mayor.
  • Oversee events like the ANZAC Day ceremony, and various receptions and functions.
  • Handle all travel logistics for the Lord Mayor

The following are the essentials for the role:

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Business Management, Public Sector Administration or similar
  • Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
  • Experience in the delivery of quality administrative support to a range of stakeholders
