We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of the In School Chinese Music Programme, which includes instrumental classes, orchestra activities, and General Education courses in Chinese music (e.g., enrolment, scheduling, instructor coordination, financial and payroll processing, etc.); Managing public relations matters to promote the programme effectively; Organising and coordinating various activities, such as press conferences and overseas performance tours; and Performing any other tasks as assigned. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Music, Chinese Studies, Cultural Heritage, Journalism or a related discipline; Substantial experience in managing or supporting Chinese music programme; A good command of English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua); Strong interpersonal and communication skills at a high level; and At least two years of relevant working experience in a tertiary institution or university setting will be advantage. Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.
