KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
As an Executive Assistant in the Office of the Medical Officer of Health (MOH), you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of public health services across Toronto by providing high-quality administrative support to the Medical Officer of Health and the senior leadership team at Toronto Public Health. This position is central to ensuring an organized, responsive, and well-functioning executive office that contributes to the health and well-being of Toronto’s diverse communities.
You will serve as a primary point of contact for the MOH’s office, managing a broad range of administrative responsibilities with discretion and a proactive mindset. Your ability to stay organized, communicate clearly, and adapt to changing priorities will be essential in supporting a dynamic public health environment.
With experience in providing administrative support in fast-paced, service-oriented settings, you are comfortable managing calendars, coordinating meetings, and handling sensitive information with sound judgment and confidentiality. You are a clear communicator and a detail-oriented professional who can ensure the MOH is well prepared for all meetings, briefings, and events.
You are self-motivated and able to manage your time effectively while advancing multiple priorities. You bring a strong customer services orientation and a desire to support others, contributing to a respectful and inclusive workplace culture. Your commitment to equity, inclusion, accessibility, and public service is reflected in how you engage with colleagues and the broader community.
You are adept at navigating the structures of a large public organization and understand the importance of coordination across divisions and with external partners. In this role, you will liaise with staff across Toronto Public Health, other City divisions, elected officials, and community stakeholders to support the work of the MOH. You bring a problem-solving mindset and a willingness to take initiative, helping to resolve issues efficiently and support the office’s strategic priorities.
You excel at anticipating needs, planning ahead, and keeping leadership informed. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment and demonstrate professionalism in your interactions. Proficient in Microsoft Office and calendar management systems, you are well-equipped to support senior leaders in a multifaceted administrative role.
