Job Description
CNBC is seeking an Executive Assistant to support the Editor-in Chief and SVP & CMO. This role serves as a key liaison between the executive’s office and internal VERSANT departments, as well as external partners. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, discreet, and capable of managing a wide range of administrative and executive support tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in a fast-paced media or production environment.
  • Strong sense of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive materials.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to analyze information and anticipate needs.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with CNBC programming, on-air talent, and internal workflows.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support, organize, manage daily workflow, appointments, contacts, correspondence, incoming and returning phone call lists and assist with daily priorities while maintaining constant open communication.
  • Anticipate all needs and conflicts and work with Editor-in Chief and SVP & CMO to resolve.
  • Protect confidential information and material while interacting with executives, talent, agents, and business associates of all levels internally and externally.
  • Extensive calendar management while coordinating detailed logistics.
  • Arrange all domestic and international travel.
  • Corporate and personal event planning and coordination – making reservations and able to get reservations in tough venues
  • Preparation and submittal of all expense reporting
  • Approval/processing of all expense reports and purchasing card for direct reports and on-air talent.
  • Car service reservations
  • Organize and order business cards for all in Editorial and Marketing
  • Organize, maintain and proactively plan and order food for early morning show staff on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Transportation for visitors and guests when necessary.
  • Organize meetings, order food, order drinks, reserve conference rooms, etc.
  • Organize and all prepare all aspects for off the record meetings with CEOs of major companies.
  • Help resolve all facility challenges and act as liaison with facilities to find a resolution.
  • Work with HR, IT, telecom, facilities and any other O&T department on all aspects for a smooth transition for new hires for business news and Marketing.
