Job Title: Executive Assistant to the President
Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia
Contract Length: 3-Month Contract (with opportunity to extend)

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly organized, trustworthy, and proactive Executive Assistant to support the President of a respected company in the construction industry. This 3-month contract role, based in Dartmouth, NS, offers the opportunity to provide both professional and personal support to a senior executive.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintain the utmost confidentiality, and handle a wide range of responsibilities — from business operations and scheduling to household coordination and personal finances. There is potential for contract extension based on performance and evolving needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience supporting a senior executive or entrepreneur in a similar capacity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; high emotional intelligence.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational abilities.
  • Proven discretion and ability to handle confidential business and personal information.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and online scheduling/communication tools.
  • Experience with expense tracking, bill payments, and household/vendor coordination.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to handle occasional in-person errands, if needed.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Background in the construction, electrical, or related trades industry is an asset.
  • Prior experience supporting both professional and personal aspects of an executive’s life.
  • Accounting or bookkeeping skills and/or experience to support personal and business financial administration.
  • Familiarity with household management tools, bill pay systems, and budgeting platforms.
