The opportunity We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive support to our General Manager Corporate Services, while contributing to the smooth operation of the wider Corporate Services Group. This is a pivotal role where professionalism, discretion and initiative are key. You’ll build strong relationships across the organisation, confidently manage competing priorities, and ensure our leaders and teams are well supported to deliver for our community. About the role You will: Provide confidential, executive-level support to the General Manager, including diary management, workflow coordination and stakeholder liaison. Build and maintain positive, effective relationships across the organisation. Support and coordinate projects as required. Identify opportunities to improve systems and administrative procedures, proposing practical solutions. Prepare high-quality Council and Committee reports, and coordinate and quality assure meeting papers. Coordinate responses under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act (LGOIMA) and liaise on Ombudsman matters, ensuring legislative compliance. Provide administrative support to the Corporate Services team, including coordinating training and conference registrations, arranging travel and accommodation, supporting new starter induction programmes, providing secretarial backup as required. To set you up for success, you’ll have Proven experience providing executive support and/or customer services at a senior level. The ability to multitask and prioritise. Being super organised with the ability to organise others will be a given in this role. Strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative approach. High attention to detail and the ability to produce professional reports and documentation. Technical prowess in Microsoft software applications. Sound understanding of confidentiality, discretion and legislative requirements. The ability to tackle ad-hoc projects and see them to completion.
