Scope of the function The HR Generalist will provide HR expertise and support to the General Manager (Site Director) by partnering on a variety of day-to-day HR topics including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding and performance management. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Perform activities related to payroll administration; Ensure correct application of the local work legislation and Sterigenics rules and policies; Perform activities related to welfare and training program; Responsibilities/Duties Payroll Administration/General Coordinate the local recruitment process, prepare advertisements and job descriptions, liaise with external vendors, perform first resumé selection, welcome potential candidates and organize & run interviews Collaborates with the payroll company (External) for the fulfillment of the necessary procedures for the hiring / resignation / promotion / monthly or special payment of employees; Prepare onboarding process, ensure correct communication about procedure and policies, coordinate initial training plan with direct supervisor/manager; Check of attendance, holidays, permits, overtime and illness, updating of the relative file for transmission to the payroll company; daily updating of attendance register; Prepare employment contracts/job offers, follow up resignation processes and prepare change of position/salary letters as well as manage other benefits; Preparation of gain share (and other bonuses) figures in collaboration with the General Manager Maintains and updates human resource information system records (on HCM) and extract reports from the systems when needed Supports the EMEAA HR Director and the General Manager in implementing Corporate HR policies, procedures and initiatives; Supports in the definition and implementation of Welfare activities and other benefits to employees. Keeps employee personal files (hard and electronic) in good order and updated. Follow-up and is always updated on social and labor local legislation changes. Collaborate with broader EMEAA HR team on regional / corporate HR projects Training Supports the GM / QA Manager in the definition of training needs, plans their implementation and monitors compliance and effectiveness. Gather of training needs from Managers and preparation of the Annual Training Program; It promotes relationships and partnerships with universities, schools and business schools in the Region in order to channel the appropriate applications and possibly start internships in the company and to develop training courses; Authority: General Manager and EMEAA HR Director Requirements: Knowledge/Education and Training: Bachelor degree in HR or similar. Danish + good English skills, both written and spoken Good knowledge of MS-Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) Eager to learn the company’s ERP (Oracle today, Workday in 2026) Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the various human resource areas Knowledge of Human Resource procedures, Corporate policies, and Danish legislation. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills dealing with a variety of people. Good knowledge of Danish payroll, social security and labor laws Skills: Discretion in processing sensitive information of employees Ability to communicate and work in a team Working regime: 100% or can be part-time as well (60 to 80%) Contacts: Internal: All employees of the Site @ Espergaerde, EMEAA HR colleagues and US HR colleagues External: Payroll company, Social Security Institutions, Trade Unions
