Job Expectations
Build your career and Australia’s future.
Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.
We have an exciting opportunity at nbn for an Executive Assistant. This role will report to the Chief Legal & Regulatory Officer.
A bit about your role
As the Executive Assistant, you will play a vital role in enabling the Chief Legal & Regulatory Officer (CLRO) to focus on strategic leadership and high-impact priorities. You will manage a dynamic and complex schedule, coordinate with senior stakeholders including government officials and internal leaders, and ensure the smooth flow of information and meetings across the office.
You will be responsible for preparing briefing materials, managing sensitive documents, and supporting the creation of presentations and meeting records. Your role will also involve navigating systems such as SharePoint and applying document governance practices. As the first point of contact for the CLRO, you will represent the office with professionalism, warmth and discretion, ensuring every interaction reflects the high standards of the function.
This is a trusted position that requires sound judgement, a proactive mindset, and the ability to influence and support senior leaders. Your contribution will be essential in helping the CLRO maximise their impact across the business.
A bit about you
The successful candidate is likely to be an experienced Executive Assistant who thrives in fast-paced, professional environments. You have a strong background supporting senior executives, ideally in legal, finance, consulting or people and culture functions. You bring a calm and organised approach to managing competing priorities and are confident working independently while staying closely connected to those you support.
You are comfortable handling confidential information, and your interpersonal skills allow you to build trust and influence across all levels of the organisation. You are tech-savvy, detail-oriented and highly responsive, with a natural ability to anticipate needs and solve problems before they arise. Your professionalism and polish make you a reliable representative of the office, and your ability to manage up ensures that senior leaders are supported with clarity, and care.
