PERMANENT FULL-TIME POSITION IN NORTH VANCOUVER(Onsite) CLOSES:  Open Until Filled BE PART OF SOMETHING MEANINGFUL!  Join the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) as an Executive Assistant. This key position provides high-level administrative, strategic, and operational support to the CAO, ensuring the smooth functioning of the Office and strengthening collaboration across departments of the Squamish Nation Government. As the right hand to the CAO, you will be one step ahead anticipating needs, managing priorities, and ensuring the flow of critical information to and from the Office. You’ll act as a trusted liaison between the CAO, the Executive Team, and community members, helping translate strategic vision into daily action. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Manage all incoming and outgoing communications, correspondence, and inquiries for the CAO’s Office. * Coordinate daily scheduling, travel arrangements, meeting logistics, and briefing materials. * Serve as the “gatekeeper” for the CAO, ensuring timely information sharing and prioritization of tasks. * Attend key meetings to take notes, prepare summaries, and support the CAO in follow-up actions. * Support strategic projects and ensure deadlines, deliverables, and follow-ups are met across departments. * Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing documents that support decision-making at the Executive level. * Liaise with Directors, managers, and community members to coordinate communication and engagement activities. * Conduct research and provide advice on policies, administrative practices, and internal governance matters. * Maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials, ensuring secure management of files and correspondence. * Uphold and model Squamish Nation values in all interactions, fostering collaboration, respect, and accountability. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * A degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related discipline. * Experience providing senior-level administrative support, preferably to executives or senior management. * Experience managing communications, scheduling, and projects in a fast-paced environment. * Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities with high attention to detail. * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to draft correspondence and reports. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual collaboration tools. * Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. * Cultural humility and understanding of Sḵwx̱wú7mesh values, governance, and community protocols. * Demonstrates extensive knowledge of, and strong connection to, the Squamish community.
