This role will provide high-level executive administrative assistance to the Group GC and Company Secretary to support the delivery of Cochlear’s mission, Legal strategic initiatives, and One Cochlear agenda. This role requires a combination of Team Assistant and Executive Assistant skills, ensuring seamless operational efficiency. The Executive Assistant will play a pivotal role in assisting the Group GC and Company Secretary in managing internal and external stakeholders, the Cochlear Executive Team, and driving strategic initiatives. The Opportunity Cochlear has an opportunity for a full time Executive Assistant to Group General Counsel based in our Macquarie Sydney office. In this role, the successful incumbent will oversee projects, take functional initiatives, and proactively manage tasks with a forward-thinking approach. The position also supports and coordinates activities for the Company Secretary and Board of Directors. Responsibilities include: Maintain an accurate, up-to-date diary, minimizing context switching, prioritizing content development, and ensuring meeting materials are prepared. Partner with the Legal & Secretariat Leadership team to ensure timely delivery of key documents to the Group GC and Company Secretary. Lead and support Legal Team Assistants, managing workloads, setting/reviewing quarterly goals, and ensuring critical skill coverage. Foster idea development by presenting, refining, and implementing process improvements. Adapt to challenges by providing practical solutions and achieving desired outcomes. Oversee and support key projects, ensuring timely execution of deliverables. What makes this opportunity unique? Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and proactively manage tasks and projects. Strong project management skills, including overseeing functional initiatives, tracking progress, and ensuring deadlines are met. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work outputs and documentation. Ability to manage priorities effectively and deliver under tight deadlines. Strong organizational skills, including task coordination and event management. Experience in triaging and managing high-priority emails and inbox communications. Demonstrated ability to prepare presentations, reports, and correspondence. Strong influencing skills and ability to work collaboratively with key internal contacts. Experience handling confidential and sensitive issues with discretion, tact, and sound judgment. High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams. Ability to troubleshoot basic IT issues and provide training on productivity tools.
