Markat Construction & Electrical Services is a residential construction company working with remote communities across Northwestern Ontario. Our team and range of projects is ever-expanding, and as such we are in need of additional office staff to accommodate our growth. We are hiring an Executive Assistant to begin immediately, based out of our satellite office in Thunder Bay, ON.
We are a proud Indigenous-owned company from Fort William First Nation. We build houses in remote communities, but our ultimate goal is helping to build the necessary groundwork to ensure prosperity for generations to come.
Our ideal candidate is passionate about and committed to making a difference for First Nations communities across Northwestern Ontario.
REQUIREMENTS:
» Must have minimum of two years-experience in executive administration or a similar role
» Must possess tact and discretion; the successful candidate will often be handling sensitive and/or personal information
» Must be able to work with minimal supervision
» Proficient in the complete Microsoft Office suite
» Comfortable working with iMac and other Apple products
» Excellent analytical and listening skills, and the ability to relate in a positive and productive way is considered an asset
» Experience in construction administration considered an asset

The successful candidate will work directly with and report to the Chief Executive Officer. In this position you will:
» Manage and prioritize the CEO’s dynamic calendar, including scheduling meetings, conferences, appointments, and travel arrangements
» Manage travel logistics for employees travelling to the job sites
» Attend meetings and take minutes as needed
» Act as a liaison between the CEO and other managers, employees, and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and efficient communication
» Maintaining both digital and physical records for receipts, invoices, etc.
» Assist in organizing both company and external events on occasion
» Monitor the phones, multiple email accounts, and assist any walk-in visitors
» Assist our social media manager with upcoming content schedules
» Draft and edit various documents, presentations, and reports for internal and external use
