JOB SUMMARY:

As a key member of a high-functioning and impact-driven Executive Office team, the Executive Partner to the President provides seasoned, executive level support for GMF’s president. The Executive Partner manages the President’s heavy meeting and travel schedule, systems and tools to meet a broad variety of administrative needs. They also support high-level projects, prepare speeches, talking points, and in-depth briefings for the President.
The Executive Partner should have a proven track record of time and project management, results orientation, and skilled communication. This individual must also be able to maintain scrupulous confidentiality, have a keen attention to detail and work independently and professionally while balancing multiple priorities, often against tight deadlines.
The Executive Partner must have exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills. The successful candidate will have high emotional intelligence and be discreet, reliable, and organized. Supervised by the President and working in close collaboration with the other members of the Executive Office team, the Executive Partner is an integral member of the Executive Office.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS NEEDED:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of executive-level support, ideally in a mission-driven, international, or policy-focused organization. Experience supporting C-suite or President/CEO-level executives is strongly preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills in English
  • High emotional intelligence, discretion, reliability, and professionalism, demonstrating maturity, poise, and excellent judgment.
  • Proactive, results-driven, and solutions-oriented mindset with a can-do attitude.
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines independently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and digital collaboration tools.
    Salary: $63,400 - $79,200

Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership & Executive Support

  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to the President by anticipating needs, identifying opportunities for increased operational efficiency, and ensuring all activities align with GMF’s long-term vision and goals.
  • Serve as the gatekeeper for the Executive Office, expertly managing the President’s priorities, filtering requests, and streamlining day-to-day operations to maximize effectiveness and focus.
  • Handle complex, sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism, supporting the President in preparation for high-stakes decisions and strategic initiatives.

Calendar, Travel & Meeting Management

  • Oversee the President’s comprehensive calendar, coordinating domestic and international multi-stop travel logistics, including accommodations, transportation, and meal planning.
  • Prioritize and prepare for key engagements by compiling detailed briefing materials, conducting background research, and synthesizing relevant information to support the President’s successful participation.
  • Coordinate logistics for Board meetings and other executive gatherings, collaborating with the Corporate Secretary to schedule events and prepare necessary presentation and briefing documents.

Research & Speech Preparation

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to inform the President’s public appearances, stakeholder briefings, and internal decision-making, delivering insightful and actionable intelligence.
  • Draft, edit, and polish speeches, op-eds, thought leadership content, and executive communications that clearly articulate GMF’s policy positions and strategic priorities.
  • Translate complex information and policy research into clear, concise summaries and talking points tailored to varied audiences and engagement formats.

Communication & Information Management

  • Facilitate smooth communication and coordination between the Executive Office and GMF’s regions, workstreams, and external partners, ensuring alignment and timely information flow.
  • Manage and prioritize high-level correspondence, drafting and reviewing messages to uphold clarity, professionalism, and adherence to GMF’s institutional voice and strategic messaging.
  • Maintain organized records and digital filing systems, oversee contact databases, and process executive financial documents such as expense reports with accuracy and confidentiality.
