Within this, the Business Operations Services team acts as a centre of excellence for administrative and executive support, working closely with the Vice-Provost and Vice-President Offices to enable senior leaders to deliver on UCL’s strategic mission.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced, proactive and highly organised Executive Assistant to provide dedicated support to the Vice Provost (Health) — a pivotal leadership role driving UCL’s health-related academic strategy, partnerships, and innovation. This is a dynamic and high-profile position requiring discretion, initiative, and a deep understanding of complex organisational environments.
You will manage a demanding schedule, coordinate UK and international engagements, and ensure the Vice Provost is fully briefed and prepared for meetings, events, and strategic interactions. The role involves handling sensitive correspondence, liaising with senior stakeholders across UCL and the wider health and academic sectors, and supporting the smooth running of committees and cross-institutional projects.
In addition to day-to-day executive support, you will contribute to the organisation of high-impact events, recruitment processes, and staff onboarding. You will maintain accurate and confidential records, support strategic communications, and help ensure the Vice Provost can focus on advancing UCL’s health agenda. Collaboration with other Executive Assistants and professional colleagues is key, fostering a strong and resilient support network across the university.
