THE VANCOUVER CURLING CLUB ASSOCIATION ("THE VCC") IS INCORPORATED UNDER

the Societies Act of British Columbia and operates a community facility that
welcomes club members and the public for curling and social activities.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to conduct research and create reports or presentations
  • Time management
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Basic computer and office equipment skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with Non-Profit business and BC Societies is a bonus

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to legally work in Canada. Valid Work Permit/Permanent

Resident/Citizenship/Refugee Status

  • College/Post-Graduate is preferred. Or, 10+ years experience in a related

administrative setting. At least, a High School Diploma is required.

  • Proficient in the use of Office productivity tools, specifically Google Work Space
  • Interest in the use of Technology and Innovation
  • Ability to research and independently obtain information on relevant programs

and policies that align with our goals and objectives
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Vancouver, BC V5Y 2M

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing all incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, reports,

and internal correspondence

  • Keeping the executive’s calendar up-to-date, including adding events, scheduling

or rescheduling meetings and appointments and providing daily briefings

  • Acting as the gatekeeper for internal and external contacts, including vendors,

colleagues, clients, and customers; redirecting internal and external contacts to

the appropriate staff member when appropriate or necessary

  • Conducting research and creating reports on various topics based on the needs

of the executive

  • Meeting Coordination: Organizing and preparing for meetings, including booking

venues, preparing materials, and taking minutes.

  • Keeping important information and documents organized physically, and

electronically

  • Maintaining a high degree of discretion and confidentiality
  • Any other duties or responsibilities as agreed upon from time to time by the

executive and the assistant
