Description
Thank you for your interest in Birn+Partners. It means a great deal to us. We are on an ambitious journey to establish Birn+Partners as a Top 10 Executive Search and Leadership Consulting firm across Europe. To get there, we are building a team of consultants who are not only deeply skilled in their craft, but who are commercial, client-driven, and motivated by growth both their own and our clients. If you are someone who thrives on building relationships, opening doors, and creating real commercial impact, we want to hear from you. The Executive Board Consultant role looks slightly different from market to market, but the core is the same everywhere: you work closely with clients, you understand their business deeply, and you bring both analytical sharpness and genuine instinct to every assignment. The Role Engage at peer level with chairs, boards, and executive leadership on their most consequential strategic and governance questions. Work across our full Board Services portfolio, from board recruitment to board audits and evaluations. Lead board advisory and board search mandates, and bring senior judgement to the wider leadership advisory practice. Build trusted, long-term relationships with chairs and boards, and grow your own portfolio of board-level mandates Originate and convert new mandates. Work alongside senior colleagues across Europe, exchanging insight and opportunities across markets. What we are looking for You have board experience. You have an existing board network. You have a track record of originating business, not just delivering it. You understand that selling professional services is a game of trust and you are good at building it, maintaining it, and converting it into long-term partnerships. You are curious and intellectually sharp. You simplify complexity rather than adding to it. You prepare well, listen carefully, and bring genuine insight to every client conversation. You represent the whole firm, not just yourself. You are entrepreneurial. We want people who light up new ideas and follow them through. Who share what they know, challenge how things are done, and contribute to building something bigger than their own desk. You are adaptable across cultures and contexts. Whether you are navigating a Nordic boardroom or a cross-border mandate spanning three countries, you read the room and adjust. Experience in multiple different markets is a strong advantage.
