We are seeking a passionate, creative, and experienced Chef to lead the culinary vision of our brand-new upscale restaurant in the heart of West Orange, NJ. Our concept blends bold Caribbean-Latin fusion flavors with modern plating and elevated ambiance. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in building a top-tier culinary destination from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all kitchen operations, including food prep, quality control, staff management, and inventory.
  • Design and execute a dynamic, seasonal menu that reflects our Latin-Caribbean fusion concept in collaboration with ownership and FOH leadership.
  • Hire, train, and manage kitchen staff in collaboration with ownership and FOH leadership.
  • Oversee kitchen sanitation and safety standards in compliance with local health regulations.
  • Work with owners and front-of-house manager to coordinate food service, specials, and private events.
  • Maintain food cost targets and monitor waste/reductions.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
