Belmondos Group is an innovative and growing restaurant group, known for our commitment to elevated casual dining experiences and high-quality cuisine. We are looking for an experienced, passionate and business minded Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations across 4 established restaurants and a takeaway cart. This exciting role involves overseeing the culinary success of each venue, mentoring a talented team of head chefs, and establishing an innovative and elevated culinary direction for the group.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Cost awareness, holding people to account, proven experience as an Executive Chef, or similar leadership role in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple kitchens and teams simultaneously.
  • A creative, forward-thinking approach to menu development and the ability to adapt to different culinary concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and mentor kitchen staff.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance time effectively between the venues.
  • Experience with budgeting, food cost control, and maintaining operational efficiencies.
  • A true passion for food, quality, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
  • Hands on approach. This role will require a hands-on approach, with direct involvement in service alongside the team during peak times as necessary.
    This is an executive role within our organisation. We will only be considering applicants with proven experience. Applicants must be on shore, and have full Australian working rights with no restrictions.

Responsibilities
  • Reporting directly to owners, and working closely with operations team, this Executive Chef role will require you to spearhead the culinary success of the restaurants.
  • Establish and enforce clear procedures, kitchen protocols, and best practices to maintain efficiency and high kitchen standards.
  • Develop and uplift the culinary direction for each restaurant. Collaborate with the head chefs to develop, refine, and implement menu offerings that will elevate the dining experience, and reflect the individual style of each venue.
  • Mentor and inspire the head chefs and kitchen teams, fostering an environment of growth, creativity, pride and teamwork.
  • Oversee the hiring process for all kitchen staff, ensuring the right talent is brought on board to uphold the culinary vision and operational standards.
  • Manage inventory, budgeting, and food cost control for all locations, ensuring profitability without compromising quality.
  • Coordinate with restaurant management to ensure smooth daily operations, meeting guest expectations, and maintaining a positive dining experience.
  • Assume ultimate responsibility for the groups culinary operations, ensuring excellence in quality, presentation, kitchen efficiencies, and cost targets.
