A dynamic, high-volume upscale casual dining and sports bar destination is seeking an Executive Chef to lead culinary operations across its busy restaurant, bar, and events program. Known for bold flavours, creative menus, and an energetic atmosphere, this location is looking for a culinary leader who can elevate the guest experience and drive operational excellence. As Executive Chef, you will oversee menu innovation, lead a passionate kitchen team, and ensure smooth, efficient operations in a fast-paced setting. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your vision, expertise, and leadership to a thriving and popular venue. Salary range is $80-85K+ bonus

DESCRIPTION

  • Lead all culinary operations, from à la carte dining to private events and banquets.
  • Design seasonal, on-trend menus that reflect an upscale casual and sports bar vibe.
  • Recruit, train, and inspire a talented kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure consistency, speed, and exceptional quality in every dish.
  • Collaborate with the events team to deliver outstanding group, celebration, and corporate dining experiences.
  • Manage inventory, food costs, and budgets to meet financial targets and control waste.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of culinary leadership experience, including as an Executive Chef or in a senior kitchen role.
  • Background in high-volume restaurants, upscale casual dining, or sports bar environments.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills, with a focus on coaching and motivating.
  • Creativity in menu development, food presentation, and keeping pace with culinary trends.
  • Excellent organizational, budgeting, and cost-control skills.
  • Culinary diploma or equivalent professional experience.
