POSITION SUMMARY:

The Executive Chef is responsible for all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu development, food preparation, staff management, budgeting, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. This role requires creativity, leadership, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience of 3 to 5 years as an Executive Chef or in a senior culinary leadership role, preferably in a private club, resort, or fine dining environment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Passion for hospitality and member service.
  • Knowledge of current culinary trends and techniques.

    Deerwood Country Club is a community steeped in local history and pivotal to the development of Jacksonville. Deerwood is the first gated community in Florida and our golf course hosted the Greater Jacksonville Open, which later became The Players Championship.
