El Pastor is a small group of Mexican taquerias in London, inspired by the decade the founders spent in Mexico City, running a cult nightclub and searching for the city’s best taco al pastor. We pour our hearts into top-quality, authentic produce, making fresh tortillas daily using heritage corn and working directly with suppliers and cooperative farmers in Mexico. The Executive Chef Role As Executive Chef, you’ll lead and inspire our Head Chefs and Sous Chefs across the El Pastor Group, driving consistency, creativity and excellence across all sites. You’ll work hand in hand with the Managing Director and Operations Director to shape the future of the brand, ensuring our food, people and standards reflect the very best of El Pastor as we continue to expand and grow. Proven experience as a Senior Head Chef or Executive Chef within a multi-site, high-volume restaurant group. Brings high standards, an amazing palate, and a relentless drive to improve every aspect of the guest and team experience. Has a great eye for detail and quality and can run a busy operation without losing sight of standards or our talented people. Is naturally positive and inspiring, someone who develops and motivates teams through mentorship and example. Has strong knowledge of authentic Mexican food and a deep respect for its flavours and traditions. Overseeing menu and specials development, recipe creation, costings and innovation. Maintaining consistency and excellence in food quality, presentation and execution across all sites. Managing and achieving GP targets, stock levels and kitchen efficiencies. Leading training, appraisals and development programmes for kitchen teams. Building strong relationships with suppliers and sourcing the best ingredients. Able to closely collaborate cross department with our Operations, Finance, People, Estates and Marketing teams. Upholding all hygiene, food safety, and health & safety standards.
