Now Hiring: Executive Chef for a Tavern & Steakhouse Concept
Are you an experienced and passionate culinary leader ready to make your mark? We are seeking a talented Executive Chef to head our kitchen and create exceptional dining experiences at our beloved tavern and steakhouse. Position: Executive Chef
Schedule: Full-time, nights and weekends required
Compensation: $60-$70k + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all kitchen operations, from prep to execution, ensuring the highest culinary standards
  • Develop and refine menus that reflect the essence of our tavern and steakhouse offerings
  • Supervise, train, and inspire kitchen staff to maintain consistent quality and efficiency
  • Manage food inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to ensure cost control and quality
  • Maintain food safety standards and cleanliness in the kitchen
  • Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests
  • Work closely with the management team to ensure profitability and operational success
  • Stay current with culinary trends and consistently innovate menu items while honoring tradition

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of culinary experience with at least 2 years in an Executive Chef role (preferably in a steakhouse or tavern environment)
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proven track record in menu development, kitchen management, and team leadership
  • Deep knowledge of high-quality cuts of meat, grilling techniques, and traditional tavern fare
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) a plus but not required.
