The Restaurant at North Block in Yountville is seeking an Executive Chef. This is a rare opportunity to lead the next chapter of one of Yountville's most loved restaurants. The Restaurant at North Block is MICHELIN-recommended, set in the heart of the Napa Valley's most concentrated culinary destination, and part of the Mosaic Hotel Collection. We are looking for an Executive Chef with the creative vision and operational maturity to sharpen the guest experience, shape the next evolution of the menu, and help evaluate an expansion into additional dayparts. The Executive Chef is the sole culinary leader for the property and owns the entire food and beverage operation, including the dining room, bar, Happiest Hour, in-room dining, and private events. The role partners closely with the Restaurant General Manager to deliver a seamless guest experience across front and back of house. A flexible schedule is required for weekends, evenings and holidays. Candidates must be available to respond to kitchen and property needs outside of regular operating hours. Extraordinary service, an enviable location, and a discerning clientele all combine here to create the perfect environment for hospitality professionals. WHAT WOULD YOU DO AS AN EXECUTIVE CHEF? The Executive Chef is responsible for short and long range planning, menu development and pricing, equipment and budget planning, cost control, and profit contribution. They have overall responsibility for daily kitchen activities, maintain complete control of the kitchen at all times, and command the respect of the kitchen team. They directly supervise the Sous Chef, Kitchen Supervisor, and kitchen staff with responsibility for hiring, inspiring, coaching, and performance management. They are responsible for maintaining food safety, sanitary, and safety standards in the workplace.
