About the role As our Executive Chef, you’ll set the standard for excellence in our kitchen. You’ll lead, inspire and develop your team while delivering high-quality, seasonal cuisine that reflects both creativity and care. You’ll be hands-on in the kitchen, building a positive team culture and ensuring every dish that leaves the pass meets the highest standards. What you’ll bring You’re an experienced chef who takes pride in your craft and leads by example. You’ll also bring: Proven experience in a senior culinary role within a high-end or fine dining environment A genuine passion for food, flavour, and presentation Strong leadership skills, with the ability to grow and inspire a team Experience across a broad range of cuisine, including pastry and desserts Knowledge of New Zealand wines and food pairing A commitment to food safety and quality standards Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with residents A proactive, positive approach and a willingness to find better ways of doing things Strong organisation and time management skills, with a sense of ownership and accountability What you’ll do Lead the kitchen team to deliver consistently exceptional dining experiences Design and deliver menus that celebrate seasonal, fresh ingredients Ensure food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of flavour, texture and visual appeal Maintain and uphold all food safety and hygiene standards Foster a culture of teamwork, learning and continuous improvement Build meaningful connections with residents through food and service Support the ongoing development of your team and yourself Why Oceania?
