Position: Executive Chef Department: Kitchen Location: RIU Palace Phuket, Mai Khao, Thailand 🔎 About the Role As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for the overall management of Kitchen operations, ensuring service excellence, guest satisfaction and adherence to RIU Brand standards. This role requires strong leadership, cultural sensitivity and a hands-on management style suitable for Thailand's hospitality environment. You will lead a large, diverse culinary team, and play a key role in the both pre-opening phase and the long-term success of the resort. 🌟 What You’ll Do Lead and oversee all kitchen operations, including main restaurants, specialty outlets and staff dining, in line with RIU standards. Ensure outstanding guest satisfaction through consistent food quality, presentation, hygiene & service excellence. Manage food cost control, inventory, wastage, and labour efficiency while meeting budgetary objectives. Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene and local health regulations at all times. Collaborate closely with F&B, purchasing, and Hotel Management to align operations with overall company objectives. Lead, train and motivate a large culinary team, fostering teamwork and professional discipline. Play a key role in pre-opening activities and staff training programmes. ✔️ What We’re Looking For Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of experience in culinary operations, with at least 3 years in a similar role in a 4 or 5-star hotel or resort. Skills: Strong leadership skills with ability to manage large, multicultural team. Excellent culinary knowledge with strong understanding of international and Asian cuisine. Strong knowledge of food allergies, dietary requirements and allergen control procedures in hospitality environment. Education/Certifications: Degree or a diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field. HACCP & Food Safety & Hygiene certifications.
