Key Responsibilities Lead, coordinate, and oversee all daily kitchen operations, ensuring operational efficiency, consistency, and excellence in service. Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to Serafina’s highest quality standards, meeting optimal service times and resolving any issues promptly and effectively. Develop, update, and implement innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients, authentic Italian cuisine, and local market preferences. Manage administrative and operational processes, including food and supply ordering, inventory control, cost management, waste reduction, and preparation of operational and financial reports. Maintain thorough knowledge of all kitchen staff roles to ensure proper shift coverage, coordinate replacements, and guarantee operational continuity at all times. Lead, train, and motivate the culinary team by setting clear performance standards, fostering professional development, and actively supervising results. Continuously evaluate staffing levels to ensure alignment with operational needs, financial objectives, and guest service standards. Promote and maintain a culture of excellence in food safety, sanitation, and hygiene, in full compliance with company policies and local and federal regulations. Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations, proper food handling practices, operational standards, and company policies. Comply with and enforce all company safety policies and procedures; promptly report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork, open communication, and constructive conflict resolution. Maintain a professional appearance and represent the Serafina brand in accordance with its values and standards. Ensure confidentiality and safeguard company assets at all times. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Strong hospitality-driven mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Degree or professional certification in Culinary Arts or a related field preferred. Minimum of four (4) years of proven experience in a leadership culinary role, such as Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager, preferably within a high-volume restaurant or hospitality-driven environment. Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and quality standards. Solid knowledge of inventory management, food cost control, budgeting, and kitchen administrative processes. Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and follow-up skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by operational needs. Fully bilingual in Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate professionally in both languages.
