Our ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in culinary leadership, preferably within a fine dining environment. As a key member of the culinary leadership team, this individual must be an independent worker and possess proven business management skills. The ideal candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication capability as well as the desire to learn, contribute and collaborate with the Culinary Director. This is a career-defining opportunity for a chef with both vision and Determination. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES Seasonal and daily special menu development. This includes cost management and working with local vendors in sourcing premium ingredients. Working hands on with the kitchen team, mentoring and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous elevation Overseeing BOH time management, recruitment, hiring and onboarding to build a high-performing team Collaborate with the Culinary Director to contribute to daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and expense planning, ensuring alignment with company objectives Maintain a multifaceted budget including food cost and labor to company standards Chef is responsible for conducting detailed line checks, ensuring flawless food preparation, and overseeing seamless expediting to maintain world-class culinary experiences Ensure strict adherence to quality and safety standards across all hospitality areas, guaranteeing regulatory compliance and operational excellence Qualifications OUR REQUIREMENTS 5+ years’ experience in Culinary and hospitality leadership positions in a high-volume, full-service restaurant Strong culinary technique and deep respect for hospitality, craftsmanship, and the team-driven nature of restaurant work Ability to pass a full physical and background check, as per our DSS regulatory licensing requirements Proven ability to manage financial performance, including labor and food costs, inventory controls, and strategic resource planning Expertise in computer systems including Microsoft Excel, Word, and email communication OUR BENIFITS Starting salary is $80k-$88k depending on experience, with performance based and annual pay increases Comprehensive benefits, including paid vacation and medical, vision and dental insurance coverage SRJC scholarship foundation available to staff and family members Complementary team member meals
