SUMMARY
Responsible for handling complex commercial casualty and non-injury casualty claims, in accordance with client, carrier and company guidelines, statutory regulations and established best practices. Primary duties include oversight of field investigations, case evaluations, reporting to carrier oversight personnel as applicable, and setting and maintaining adequate reserves. Expectations include managing claims through well-developed action plans to an appropriate and timely resolution, as well as providing supervision and direction to Counsel assigned to claims in suit.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Seven (7) or more years of experience in all phases of Casualty and D&O claim management
SKILLS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including telephone and listening skills
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Word, Outlook
Discretion and independent judgment required
