About the Team Our Business Banking teams support medium to large businesses across Australia. The Client Acquisition (CA) team is the new-to-bank business development group for Regional and Agribusiness Banking (RAB). We focus on medium to large private companies and publicly listed businesses, acting as the conduit for all financial services for new clients. Do Work That Matters At the forefront of business origination and deal execution, you’ll identify and develop new lending opportunities for regional commercial businesses with deal sizes ranging from $15m to $200m and annual turnover between $50m and $2b. This role is exclusively focused on deal origination and business development—no portfolio management. What You’ll Do Identify, pursue, and acquire profitable new clients using your networks and referral sources. Manage end-to-end new business transactions, ensuring a seamless handover to relationship teams. Build strong internal partnerships to deliver exceptional client outcomes. Develop and maintain robust referral networks to support origination activity. What We’re Looking For Proven track record of high performance in business development and origination. Success in acquiring new-to-bank commercial or emerging corporate clients across diverse industries. Strong, established networks and the ability to leverage them effectively. Excellent project management and transaction execution skills. Ability to work independently and travel regularly from Sydney to regional Northern NSW at short notice. Strong credit risk analysis capability. Ability to build internal relationships, influence stakeholders, and present professionally. Why Join Us?
