Position: Executive Coach and Elevate Platform Developer Reports to: Executive Director, AAEALocation: Little Rock, AR (hybrid statewide travel)Employment Type: Full-timeRole SummaryThe AAEA Executive Coach strengthens instructional leadership across Arkansas by coaching educators in high-impact teaching, learning, assessment, and leadership practices and will lead and manage the buildout of AAEA Elevate, an integrated professional learning platform. The coach provides on-site and virtual coaching, designs and curates evidence-based professional development, and will partner with colleagues to integrate 13 constituent group platforms under one AAEA experience with unified learning experiences for members.Key Responsibilities: A. Coaching & School Support (Leadership Development)Provide 1:1 and small-group coaching to leaders focused on effective instruction and leadership development.Support leaders to serve as a thought partner to better understand district data and action planning.Model high-leverage leadership practices Facilitate learning cycles, problem-of-practice solutions, and showcase Arkansas districts in the AAEA Elevate Platform.B. Professional Learning DesignDesign, deliver, and evaluate workshops, micro-credentials, and asynchronous courses aligned to Arkansas standards in the AAEA Elevate Platform.
Curate toolkits for 13 constituent groups for leaders to adopt and use in best practice.Establish a statewide network of practitioner-experts to co-create content and mentor peers.C. AAEA Elevate Platform (Product Development)Define the Elevate product roadmap to unify 13 constituent platforms into a single AAEA learning hub.Implement/oversee LMS selection or optimization (SCORM/xAPI/LTI capable).Integrate SSO (SAML/OAuth2) with AAEA membership system for seamless member login.Consolidate registration and e-commerce for events, micro-credentials, and courses.Connect CRM/membership, email marketing, analytics, and helpdesk.Course Development: establish templates, accessibility for online courses; manage content lifecycleEnsure compliance, vendor due diligence, data minimization, and clear data-sharing agreements.Change Management: Lead user testing, training, and communications; create admin/user guides and short how-to videos.Operations: Monitor uptime, release notes, and platform KPIs; manage vendor contracts and RFPs.Other duties as assignedOutcomes & Key MetricsCoaching Impact: Gains on leadership development; increased micro credentialing course pass rates or graduation indicators where applicable.Engage leaders to develop executive skills through professional developmentPlatform Adoption: migration of constituent groups; unique monthly active users; course completions; registration conversion.Quality & Compliance: Accessibility passed; zero critical data incidents; on-time delivery of roadmap milestones.Minimum QualificationsMasters in Educational Leadership or Curriculum & Instruction5+ years in school and district leadership (principal and central office) with a track record of improving student outcomes.Demonstrated success coaching adults; expertise with observation/feedback cycles and data-driven instruction.Experience designing high-quality PD (in-person and online).Working knowledge of LMS platforms, SSO concepts, and integrating registration/membership systemsPreferred QualificationsDoctorate (Ed.D./Ph.D.) and Arkansas building-level administrator licenseExperience as a product owner/project lead for an LMS or large-scale PD platformFamiliarity with SCORM/xAPI, LTI, SAML/OAuth2, and basic API concepts.Proficiency with data tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI/Tableau) and user support workflowsPMP, Prosci, or comparable project/change management certificationCore CompetenciesLeadership expertise Adult learning designRelationship building & facilitation Clear, persuasive communicationEquity mindset and confidentiality Systems thinking & problem solvingProject management Vendor management User-centered designWork ConditionsStatewide travel up to 3035% with mileage reimbursement; occasional evenings/weekends for AAEA events.Valid drivers license and insured vehicle with the ability to travel to schools and regional meetings.Salary & BenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experience; benefits per AAEA policy.Application InstructionsSubmit a resume/CV, cover letter highlighting relevant coaching and platform experience, including three professional references, and two work samples you have created (e.g., PD agenda, coaching tool, or online course module).Send to m.duncan@theaaea.org with the subject AAEA Executive Coach Applican
