REQUIREMENTS:

• A bachelor’s degree in law or business administration
• A master’s or certifications like CCEP, CISA, or IAPP is desirable
• 4-6 years of experience working in a compliance, legal, or regulatory role, particularly around privacy and data protection.
• A deep understanding of privacy regulations as well as the ability to stay on top of evolving legal landscapes.

THE ROLE:

We’re looking for a Compliance Officer to join our client’s team. This is a mid-level role where you’ll be the driving force behind building and maintaining the compliance framework across multiple regions. You’ll be responsible for creating key policies including privacy policies and terms & conditions. This role will be offered as a 6-9-month contract with the possibility of being made permanent.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• You’ll design, implement, and maintain compliance strategies that align with privacy, data protection, and regulatory requirements. This includes crafting policies such as privacy policies, terms & conditions, and user agreements that fit the specific needs of each market.
• You’ll keep an eye on global and regional regulatory changes, especially around privacy laws like GDPR and CCPA.
• You’ll ensure compliance policies work seamlessly across multiple markets.
• You’ll create and run compliance training programs to help team members understand the importance of privacy, data protection, and compliance policies.
• Leading internal audits and documenting compliance efforts will be a key part of your role.
• You’ll work closely with senior management team to make sure that the compliance strategies align with the overall goals of the company. You’ll also be the main point of contact for regulatory authorities and industry groups.
