Description

We are recruiting an Executive Consultant to join our consulting team, to drive and deliver our continued growth in procurement.
Our offering is to provide excellent procurement services with a solutions focussed approach ensuring the compliance and efficiency of the services we provide.
The person will be responsible for leading procurement projects with multiple clients, providing strategic support and advice in relation to compliant routes to market to best meet the clients’ needs. They will lead our consultancy services for clients through the full lifecycle of procurement.
The person will have a shared responsibility for the growth of our procurement services, engagement with our client’s executive teams, and the leadership of our fantastic consulting team to realise better outcomes for our clients and their customers.
The role will report into our Director of Procurement Services.

Key Responsibilities/Outcomes

  • Delivering all fundamental aspects of being an employee of Lumensol, to include personal training and development, compliance with policies and procedures, upholding our values and contributing to our fantastic team culture
  • A shared responsibility for the growth of Lumensol and our services to local government and registered housing providers, delivering to annual revenue and profit growth targets
  • Attend the Operating Board, and contribute to the operating strategy and performance of the business
  • Direct responsibility for the delivery of consultancy service programmes that meet the requirements of our contracts with clients, and delivery better outcomes for them and their customers
  • Leading client relationships, in the delivery of programmes and securing new work. This includes the cross selling of Lumensol’s full range of services to existing clients (often delivered by their peers)
  • Line management of a number of consultants within the consulting team
  • Recruitment of new consultants to join the team, and deliver the business growth strategy
  • The production of proposals for new work with clients, reaching agreement and going into contract
  • Managing the production of collateral that describe Lumensol’s services, the benefits to clients and their customers, with evidence
  • Developing and document new operating procedures to replicate delivery on new programmes.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Higher education or degree level qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience operating in procurement at a senior level, as a client or consultant
  • An excellent understanding of the procurement regulatory framework
  • Excellent management experience
  • Excellent core skills in written and verbal communication, analysis, problem solving and the use of core Microsoft office applications that include Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently, in the leadership of teams and as part of an executive team
  • Experience of versatility in rapidly changing environment, priorities and needs of our clients
  • Energy, enthusiasm and a drive to work hard and learn as part of an experienced team
  • Positive, polite, organised and professional in everything that they do
  • Proven ability to work methodically, follow procedures and manage information.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Leadership experience in growing and developing a team
  • Extensive procurement experience
