Based in Macquarie Park, Sydney the Executive Deal Lead is responsible for managing large Commercial deals, developing client relationships at CXO level, and driving sales of Optus Business products including Mobile Fleets, Fixed Data, Voice, and ICT solutions.
This national role involves leading virtual teams across the company and partners to manage sales opportunities and maximise business growth.
The day to day
The role requires maintaining a high sales activity pipeline, building broad customer relationships, and coordinating internal Optus groups to support customer needs effectively.
The position involves leading both direct and virtual teams across Optus Business, Singtel, and third-party providers without direct report accountability, ensuring timely and successful pursuit outcomes.
The Executive Deal Lead crafts deal strategies to improve commercial outcomes, aiming to increase market share in core carriage, ICT, security, professional services, and cloud offerings.
Maintaining accurate records, producing timely reports, and clear communication with all stakeholders are essential to align internal teams and meet customer needs.
Why you are our next Executive Deal Lead
Extensive experience in strategic selling within telecommunications and ICT, strong negotiation and presentation skills, and the ability to navigate complex customer organisations.
Experience leading/managing large scale complex pursuits responses through the sales cycle.
A natural identifying market opportunity, presenting to government agencies, and creating opportunities.
A leader in qualification of opportunities and parenting with vendors for best of breed responses.
Experience in developing long term business relationships, and the development of strategic business plans
Proven history of working in a pro-active and entrepreneurial manner.
Experience leading growth in low share-of-wallet accounts, balancing internal and external demands, negotiating complex contracts, and ensuring smooth transition and service delivery.
Experience dealing with Clients at a CIO / CEO level, leading large complex pursuits and end to end execution.
