Represent the business Relationship building with external stakeholders Participate in appropriate business associations, networks and activities relevant to SMBC's interests Functional duties Provide leadership alongside the expatriate role for CBAP PLN and Branch BCO interface activities. Partner closely with senior stakeholders across CBAU, CBAP, and regional teams to align objectives, manage risk, and enable practical adoption of data driven improvements. Strong alignment between CBAU execution and CBAP / global strategy. CBAP (Regional) – Core Accountabilities (~50%) As part of the broader CBAP regional mandate, the role will be responsible for enabling effective, consistent, and well‑governed data‑driven decision‑making across the Asia Pacific platform, including: Regional decision‑support and insight enablement, leveraging complex data to support CBAP leadership in setting priorities, monitoring performance, and driving effective commercial and operational outcomes. Development and uplift of regional management reporting, analytics, and dashboards, ensuring consistency of metrics, governance, and alignment with CBAP, APD and GBU standards. Partnership with regional stakeholders across CBAP, aligning objectives, managing risk, and ensuring practical adoption of data‑driven improvements across markets. Enhancement of existing regional systems, processes, and institutional capabilities, building on established practices rather than duplicating or disrupting them. Support for scalable regional initiatives and platforms, ensuring solutions are robust, repeatable, and sustainable across jurisdictions.   CBAU (Australia) – Core Accountabilities (~50%) In addition to the regional mandate, the role will have specific accountability for the Australia business, including: P&L insight, performance monitoring, and executive‑level management reporting, providing clear, data‑driven views to support strategic and operational decision‑making for CBAU leadership. Strategy and performance management support for CBAU, translating regional priorities into actionable local execution and measurable outcomes. Leadership partnership with CBAP regional counterparts and expat leadership, acting as the local nexus between CBAP regional initiatives and CBAU delivery (including PLN and Branch BCO interfaces). Oversight of local and regional business reporting, dashboards and analytics, ensuring consistency, governance, and alignment with CBAP and Sydney Branch reporting standards. These responsibilities are designed to create continuity, executive alignment and local accountability, while ensuring that regional initiatives are effectively embedded within CBAU and Sydney Branch.
