We’re united by a shared commitment to excellent and equitable health care.  Position Overview The incumbent is responsible for providing strategic and operational support to the COO and members of the Winnipeg Integrated Health and Social Services Senior Management Team. The incumbent leads and is responsible for effective service delivery of various WRHA Clinical Programs and Services within the Geographic Area. Leads the nursing profession and ensures the development of and adherence to professional ethics and standards of nursing practice throughout the geographic area. The incumbent is dedicated to the integration of acute and community programs and services as well as continually improving the level of patient/client care provided. Experience Seven (7) years of progressively responsible management and leadership experience within nursing and healthcare administration. Experience in community health or social services preferred. Extensive experience in service delivery and business operations. Experience in establishing detailed annual operational plans. Experience in human resource management, financial management and quality improvement required. Experience with facilities management is desirable. Experience in process improvement methodologies such as LEAN, an asset. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Master’s degree in Nursing or related healthcare field required. Qualifications and Skills Ability to lead and participate in both short and long-term planning. Ability to work in a complex environment that includes working with the various acute and community department and programs. Ability to administer the policies of two organizations (WRHA and Family Services & Labour) and manage the programs’ services and staff with 2 different employers. Ability to work with all levels of staff, management, and professionals in diverse groups and across sectors. Ability to actively promote and support integration of services. Proven leadership, creativity, integrity, initiative and communication skills. Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills. Strong collaborative, interpersonal and relationship or team building skills. Strong client/patient focus. Proficient in Microsoft Office.   This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.   Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT.
