Overview About the Role Under the guidance and direction of the Chief Medical Officer, is a hands‐on leadership role responsible for driving the development, governance, quality & integrity controls and execution of enterprise‐wide data and analytics initiatives. Collaborates with the Medical Director of Informatics and UH executive leadership to create a data‐driven culture by developing a framework of support, education, and training to drive data literacy across UH and measurable business outcomes. Responsibilities What You’ll Do Responsible for driving development, governance, quality, integrity controls, and execution of enterprise-wide data and analytics initiatives. Collaborates with the Medical Director of Informatics and UH executive leadership to: Create a data-driven culture. Develop a framework for support, education, and training to improve data literacy. Achieve measurable business outcomes. Partners with the Medical Director of Informatics to develop and implement a UH-wide data governance framework. Accountable for decision-making on data policies and standards. Manages and implements processes, workflows, documentation, and tools to: Ensure data availability. Improve data accuracy and reliability. Reduce risk. Support better decision-making. Designs and maintains data models and dashboards as directed by senior leadership to track and report key performance indicators (KPIs). Maintain an inventory of all data sources across UH. Collaborates with IT to ensure data alignment and quality Qualifications What You’ll Bring Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Health Informatics, Business Administration, or a related field required Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in: Data strategy Enterprise analytics Data governance within a complex organization (preferably healthcare) Ability to lead enterprise-wide data initiatives and implement data governance frameworks Skilled in guiding cross-functional teams and converting complex data into actionable insights for operational, clinical, financial, and strategic outcomes Hands-on proficiency with: Business intelligence and visualization tools: Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Enterprise databases and integration tools: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SSIS, Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory Cloud-based data warehousing: Azure Synapse, Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery Programming and analytics tools: Python, R, Spark, SAS Data governance and quality platforms: Collibra, Alation, Informatica Data Quality Healthcare-specific data sources: Epic (Clarity/Caboodle), claims systems, financial/cost datasets, quality benchmarking platforms Ability to mentor and develop data analysts Skilled in cultivating data literacy across clinical and operational teams Experience partnering with senior leadership to ensure integrity, reliability, and strategic use of enterprise data assets What We Offer Medical & Prescription Drug Coverage Dental & Vision Insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) & Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Short- & Long-Term Disability Insurance Pension Plan Pet Insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Professional Development Compensation The expected salary range for this position is MS/37S:$131,715.00- $173,752.00- $215,795.00 per year, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
