POSITION SUMMARY

The Animal Shelter Foundation seeks an experienced, hands-on Executive Director (ED) to lead the organization with a primary focus on fundraising, donor relations, and strategic growth. This inaugural role offers an extraordinary opportunity to help shape the future of a mission-driven organization with deep community roots and a passionate base of supporters.
The Executive Director will serve as the primary executive and fundraiser, working in partnership with the Board of Directors to build organizational capacity, diversify revenue, and expand ASF’s impact..

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, or a related field.
• Proven success in fundraising and donor cultivation, including securing major gifts and/or grants.
• Passion for animal welfare and belief in ASF’s mission.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to execute hands-on in a lean organizational environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with or reporting to a nonprofit board of directors.
• Comfort representing the organization publicly and working in diverse community settings.
• Proficiency with donor databases, CRM systems, and digital communication tools is a plus.
