Duke Health is seeking an exceptional Executive Director of Facilities, Planning, Design & Construction (FPCD) to lead the strategic development of our expansive and evolving physical footprint. The Executive Director, Facilities, Planning, Design & Construction (FPCD) provides leadership and support for the planning and development of Duke Health facilities to include Duke University Hospital and Clinics, School of Medicine, School of Nursing, Duke Regional Hospital, Duke Raleigh Hospital, Duke Health Lake Norman, and other off-campus clinical and ambulatory sites. Responsible for all facility assets on the main campus and off campus including the development, planning, interior design, construction and capital renovation of space serving faculty, staff, students, patients and visitors.
Responsible for the delegation and administration of the capital outlay program, campus master plan and ensuring all new facilities comply with federal, state and local building codes and inspections. Position interacts with top level administration of the organization in strategic planning, long range physical space planning and development, and development of the capital outlay program for the future benefit of the Duke Health facilities.
This position reports to the Chief Facilities, Engineering & Operations Officer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training - Bachelor’s degree in directly related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience - Minimum of 10 years related management experience in a complex academic medical center.
