ABOUT US
Horizons is a community-centered education program serving students from the Greater Philadelphia Metro area. We advance educational equity by building long-term partnerships with students, families, communities, and schools to create experiences that inspire the joy of learning. Horizons Greater Philadelphia (HGP) was founded in 2020 to expand Horizons programming in the Philadelphia area and support existing area Horizons affiliates which include Horizons at Episcopal Academy, Horizons at Greene Street Friends School, Horizons at Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School, and Horizons at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy. HGP is an affiliate of Horizons National, which has over 76 programs in 21 states. HGP is a 501(c)(3) organization and an affiliate of the Horizons National Network.
This summer, HGP served approximately 420 public and charter school students with the goal of expanding to build capacity to serve 1,000 students. To achieve this goal, we are committed to building new partnerships with local educational institutions to launch thriving and sustainable community-based Horizons programs across Greater Philadelphia and provide more opportunities for students to learn, grow, and achieve their goals.
