Midtown Neighborhood Association – Grand Rapids, MI
Position Details:
Midtown employs an Executive Director tasked with advocating alongside residents & stakeholders in matters of neighborhood improvement, leadership and crime prevention. Our mission is to unite neighbors in a volunteer capacity, build pride in the neighborhood, and create an attractive community in which to live, work, and play.
Hours: 10-15 hrs./week (flexible leadership schedule)
Compensation: $21/hour
Reports to: Board of Directors
Location: Grand Rapids with local community travel for community based meetings
Core Responsibilities:
Grant Reporting
· Neighborhood Advocacy
· Growth and support of civic leadership and engagement
· Grow and support of community and neighborhood safety
Ideal Experience & Skills:
· 5+ years of leadership experience in nonprofit or community organizing
· Strong workshop facilitation and public speaking abilities.
· Exceptional planning, organizing, and decision-making skills in complex environments.
· Experience with community partners and working alongside local businesses
