Title: Executive Director
Location: Southern or Central Arizona
Salary: $70,000 to $75,000
Benefits: Health insurance, 200 hours of paid personal time off, retirement plan support

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Executive Director will provide overall leadership for the ADNPP. This position is supported for one year under a grant from the National Park Foundation, but continued employment is anticipated based on the candidate’s performance, program needs, and the availability of subsequent funding. The selected individual will work with the Board of Directors to manage the organization’s day-to-day operations, including program and financial management, fundraising and expenditures, ADNPP’s social media presence, and relations with Park units, program partners, and communities. Fundraising will be a primary responsibility of the ADNPP Board of Directors; however, the Executive Director will play a significant role in developing a strategic fundraising plan and in implementing related activities.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision to manage multiple deadlines, set and achieve goals.
  • Excellent organizational, social media, and computer/database skills.
  • Demonstrated experience organizing and facilitating meetings, workshops, and community events.
  • Superior written, oral communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with grant writing and fundraising.
  • Demonstrated experience with public relations and community outreach.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for in-person meetings with the leadership and staff of ADNPP’s partner parks, which are dispersed across a 22,000 square mile region.
  • A passion for and experience with National Park units, and with environmental and cultural preservation programs.

  • Manage ADNPP’s collection and distribution of funds to Park units.
  • Further develop and maintain ADNPP’s website and social media presence.
  • Assist with continued strategic planning and organizational development.
