CORE JOB SUMMARY
The Executive Director, HIV, Grants is responsible for identifying, writing, securing, and managing grants from government agencies, foundations, and philanthropic partners. This role will also supervise a team of Grant Coordinators, including both full-time staff and 1099 contractors, ensuring consistency, accountability, and alignment in all phases of grant work—from application to reporting.
The ideal candidate has excellent grant writing skills, strong project management capabilities, and a deep understanding of public health, nonprofit operations, and funder compliance. This role is critical to our continued growth and sustainability, particularly across brick-and-mortar clinics, jail-based contracts, and community-based health programs.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, English, Nonprofit Management, or related field (Master’s a plus but not required).
EXPERIENCE:
Must have 3- 5 years of experience with HIV health education / management.
3–5 years of experience in grant writing, grants management, and/or public funding administration.
Prior experience supervising a team, including contractors or freelance contributors.
Proven success in securing and managing local, state, or federal grants.
Background in healthcare, public health, or social services, especially in community or correctional settings.
Familiarity with managing grants in multi-entity or hybrid (nonprofit/for-profit) environments.
