We are seeking an experienced and strategic Executive Director of Podcast Programming to lead the editorial, production, and strategic growth of our national security-focused podcast network.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Executive Director will oversee all aspects of podcast development and production with a focus on national security, foreign affairs, and defense. This role requires a unique blend of editorial judgment, subject-matter familiarity, strategic thinking, and operational leadership to grow our influence and reach across digital platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in podcasting, audio journalism, or multimedia production, with a significant focus on public affairs, national security, or international relations.
  • Strong editorial judgment and familiarity with the national security landscape, including key institutions, policy debates, and geopolitical dynamics.
  • Proven experience developing and scaling editorial products or shows.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and collaborating across departments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable interfacing with high-profile guests including policymakers, military leaders, diplomats, and academics.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate degree in international relations, public policy, journalism, or a related field.
  • Prior experience working in or covering government, think tanks, military, or intelligence agencies.
  • Familiarity with podcast analytics tools and digital marketing strategies.
